Happy Monday!

The Super Bowl was… not great. I had money on the Eagles, but I also had money on many other props and had no exposure to the Eagles D/ST in DFS. To make matters worse, I didn’t have a good week of PGA DFS (although a few RG members in the Discord had nice screenshots).

Since there were only 3 games yesterday, we have a huge slate tonight. There are 10 games on the schedule. All 10 games are featured on the FanDuel slate, while DraftKings decided to leave the last game off their slate. The Hornets and Bucks are both playing on the second half of a back-to-back.

It’s NBA All-Star week, so we only have 4 main DFS slates. Let’s make them count.

I won’t be on GrindersLive or CrunchTime tonight, so I will be posting my final thoughts here.

Team Previews

Irving of the Mavericks

Minnesota Timberwolves (at CLE)

We kick off the rare large Monday slate with the Wolves, who have a mediocre matchup on the road against the Cavaliers. They come into the game with a team total that is 2 points lower than their season average. Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo are still out, while Mike Conley and Anthony Edwards are listed as questionable. If Conley is out, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Rob Dillingham would see a boost in playing time. If Edwards is out, the entire lineup should see an uptick in usage. As it stands with those two in the projections, there’s not a single player on the roster with a positive RGValue. For large-field tournaments, Naz Reid has topped 40 fantasy points in 4 straight games.

Cleveland Cavaliers (vs. MIN)

The Cavaliers draw a difficult matchup at home against the Wolves, who are bottom 5 in pace and top 5 in points allowed per game. They come into the game with a team total that is 3 points lower than their season average. Isaac Okoro and Dean Wade are out, but everyone else should be available for the Cavaliers. There’s not much that sticks out in the projections, but Jarrett Allen is only $6,400 on DraftKings and offers a high floor.
