Core Plays LIVE: NBA DFS Picks for Saturday, March 29th
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career and has long been one of the top NBA DFS minds in the industry. On weekends, Taylor Smith takes the reins. Their Core Plays LIVE article will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, Core Plays LIVE has everything you need for your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.
Happy weekend! We’ve got our first NBA/MLB crossover Saturday on tap with a little something for everybody. I had a few decent NBA lineups last night, though it was only slightly discouraging to see Devin Booker finish with far fewer fantasy points than (checks notes) Drew Timme. This is March, I guess, so maybe this time of year brings the best out of the ex-Gonzaga star man.
Regardless, there’s no use in tilting what happened yesterday, as we are on to today. We’re looking at 6-game main slates in the hoops streets for both DraftKings and FanDuel, and I’ve got you covered all afternoon, as usual. I’ll also be on Crunch Time for crossover NBA/MLB duty tonight with Tim and TJ, so tune in.
On to the slate.

Brooklyn Nets (at WAS)
We’ll tip off the festivities with the Nets, who are just 1-point underdogs tonight in Washington despite their best tanking efforts. Brooklyn is sitting D’Angelo Russell, Nic Claxton, Day’Ron Sharpe, and Cam Thomas, while Noah Clowney is questionable. They’re out of centers, though we’re projecting Clowney to get the start at the 5 if he suits up. Drew Timme would be another candidate after he logged 24 minutes and posted a double-double in last night’s game. He’s only $3,500 on FanDuel, while he’s not even in the DraftKings player pool.
Even with all of the players missing from the lineup, we don’t have anyone on the Nets side projected to come particularly close to cracking 30 minutes. Tosan Evbuomwan grades out as a strong punt at around minimum salary on both sites, which is a pretty good indicator that we’re well into tanking season, baby. Jalen Wilson and Tyrese Martin look playable, though I’d be reluctant to take a flier on too many Brooklyn punts in the same lineup.
