Core Plays LIVE: NBA DFS Picks for Sunday, December 29th

Johnson of the Hawks

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career and has long been one of the top NBA DFS minds in the industry. On weekends, Taylor Smith takes the reins. Their Core Plays LIVE article will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, Core Plays LIVE has everything you need for your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.

Happy Sunday! Thanks to my guy Noto for covering Core Plays for me yesterday. I’m on vacation, and I just saw that there are 63 unread emails in my primary inbox. Because emails don’t count when you’re on vacation, I felt it was a good time to “mark all as read” and move on with my life. Good decision, IMO.

Anyway, we’re looking at just 5 games in the NBA DFS streets tonight with the action getting underway at 6 PM ET. Let’s dive right in, shall we?

Siakam of the Pacers

Indiana Pacers (at BOS)

The Pacers got housed by the Celtics in Boston on Friday, and they’ll look to avoid further embarrassment in a rematch tonight in the same building. Andrew Nembhard is due back after missing Friday’s game, while Obi Toppin is questionable with the ankle injury he suffered a couple of games ago. Nembhard’s return should send Ben Sheppard back to the bench, while Toppin missing another game would unlock Jarace Walker as a potential cheapie off the bench. Otherwise, the Pacers are a tough sell in a tough matchup as 11.5-point underdogs on the road. Guys like Andrew Nembhard, Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, and Myles Turner can crack a GPP player pool given their individual ceilings, but I have minimal interest in the Indiana side.
