Happy Tuesday!

Welp, I stacked the wrong game last night. Sometimes, when a team has its back against the wall, they give it everything they have. Other times, they wave the white flag and start planning their offseason vacations. Unfortunately for the Heat (and my fantasy lineups), the latter was the case last night.

We have the last 4-game slate of the season on tap. Depending on how these games play out, there might only be a couple more 3-game slates. It looks like there’s at least one injury to monitor in each of the 4 games, so don’t close that laptop (or stop checking your phone) after lineup lock.

Thanks for joining me. Now, let’s dive into these games!

Team Previews

Giannis of the Bucks

Milwaukee Bucks (at IND)

The Bucks seem to be in a bad place. They have been blown out in 3 of the 4 games in this series, the team chemistry doesn’t seem to be there, and Damian Lillard tore his Achilles in Game 4. Crazier things have happened in the NBA playoffs, but it doesn’t seem like this team is ready to climb out of a 3-1 hole in this series. The positives are that they are shorthanded and have a nice matchup against the Pacers. The Bucks come into the game as 8-point underdogs and have the 3rd-highest team total of the slate.

Before we dive into the projections, let’s see who benefits the most with Lillard off the floor this season:

Lillard4.29

I was hoping to find some actionable information here, but there was none to be found Brook Lopez has had a very limited role in the series, Kyle Kuzma is doing his best Tony Snell impression (playing minutes without scoring fantasy points), and Pat Connaughton has seemingly lost his spot in the rotation. This doesn’t mean players won’t benefit with Lillard being out, though. We have Kevin Porter projected to start at point guard. He is an excellent per-minute producer and put up 44 fantasy points in Game 4. Gary Trent had the game of his life in Game 3 (53 fantasy points) and should push for minutes in the mid-30s.

Giannis Antetokounmpo will have to have a big game for the Bucks to have any chance of extending this series. He’s topped 57 fantasy points in all 4 games this series, and we do have plenty of value to make it work on the roster construction front. With Lopez averaging only 17 minutes per game in this series, Bobby Portis is the preferred frontcourt target on the Bucks. He’s more volatile than we usually like in cash games, but he offers a high ceiling at a reasonable price point for tournaments.
