Happy Wednesday!
Wow…. I still don’t understand how the Cavaliers lost that game last night. They were up 7 with less than a minute to go. They had 2 key turnovers and couldn’t secure a rebound when it mattered most. Obviously, a lot of credit goes to Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers. What a clutch shot as time was expiring!
The Warriors managed to beat the Wolves in Game 1 of their series, even though Stephen Curry left the game early with a hamstring injury. He’s now dealing with two injuries. Golden State’s defense was the hero last night, as they held Minnesota to 39% from the field and created 16 turnovers.
Based on some quick napkin math, the home teams are now 0-5 in the second round of the playoffs. This feels more like March Madness than the NBA Playoffs. Something tells me that trend will come to an end tonight, as both home teams are at least 10-point favorites.
Let’s dive into the team previews.

Team Previews
New York Knicks (at BOS)
The Knicks pulled off a huge 2nd-half comeback to force overtime in Game 1. They completed the epic comeback by winning the game in Boston. While they have stolen home-court advantage, they are still +270 to win the series, according to the DraftKings Sportsbook. They enter Game 2 as 10.5-point underdogs and have a team total that is 16 points lower than their season average. Everyone should be available for the Knicks tonight.
Jalen Brunson was only 9-for-23 in Game 1 and still finished with 29 actual points. He’s had a 33% usage rate in the playoffs, which is easily the highest of any player on tonight’s slate. I get the sense that many will be hesitant to target the Knicks tonight, which makes Brunson an elite tournament play. Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby both played 40+ minutes in regulation and should continue to play as many minutes as they can handle. I would lean to Bridges in cash games and Anunoby in GPPs.
Josh Hart has scored at least 34 fantasy points in each of the last 5 games. During that stretch, he’s racked up double-digit rebounds 4 times. Like his teammates, he feels underpriced for a player who should see 40+ minutes of action if this game stays competitive. Karl-Anthony Towns has been all over the place in the playoffs. He got into early foul trouble in Game 1 and only played 31 minutes, but he did score 33 fantasy points. He’s so cheap that he’s worth a look in tournaments.
