NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, April 24
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Jayson Tatum
headChopper: Amen Thompson
ncorfield8k: Amen Thompson
Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
Notorious: Andre Drummond – While I like Robert Williams III as much as anyone, Drummond is projected for less than half the ownership at a similar price point. He struggled in Game 1 against the Celtics, but he started the 2nd half of Game 2 and finished with 25 fantasy points. He has averaged 1.12 DK / 1.13 FD points per minute this season and has a clear path to 25+ minutes. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sixers put him in the starting lineup.
headChopper: Stephon Castle – Through two games, Castle has seen plenty of minutes and plenty of shot attempts. Now the Spurs are in a best-of-five series and going on the road with an injured Victor Wembanyama. I’m not sure if Wemby plays or not, but if he does, who knows if some concussion issues linger. If he doesn’t, then Castle becomes the Spurs’ most important player. It’s a late game, and I don’t think the edge in that scenario gets exploited enough tonight. Portland is good, and Castle has to stuff the stat sheet to help the Spurs survive this series, and his pOWN% does not reflect that.
ncorfield8k: De’Aaron Fox – Fox is a strong play regardless of Victor Wembanyama‘s status. The Blazers are the 13th-best matchup for a Combo Guard in our Defense vs. Archetype tool. Fox would benefit significantly from Wemby’s absence, though. Per CourtIQ, Fox saw a 4.9% increase in usage in games without Wemby this season.
