What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. My plan of attack tonight is to leave some roster spots open in case the Bulls are extremely shorthanded. Kevin Huerter, Jalen Smith, Isaac Okoro, and Tre Jones are all expected out, while Zach Collins, Ayo Dosunmu, and Coby White are all questionable. We don’t have a ton of cheap value as of early afternoon, so Chicago’s potential value could be the key to the slate.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll eat the chalk with Kevin Porter Jr. and Austin Reaves and get different elsewhere. While it’s a large slate, all of the games start within an hour of lock on DK (and all but one do on FD). As a result, it’s a strong slate to use our NBA DFS sims tool (SimLabs) and worry less about late swap.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and on a really big slate with a ton of potential injury news, I want to make sure I narrow my pool down as much as I can. Early on, I’m thinking I’ll X out the Grizzlies, Rockets, 76ers, and Heat completely from my pool, and if certain teams like Boston and Charlotte have their questionable players ruled in, I’ll likely avoid them as well.
Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
