Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. This is a large slate with plenty of strong value plays. My plan of attack is to eat the chalk with the value plays and then look to differentiate with a player or two in the mid-range or the high-end range. Given my contest selection, I don’t have to stray too far from the beaten path in terms of my player pool.

tcsmith031: I’ll focus on small-field, single-entry GPPs. This slate looks like a good one to try some game stacks. SAS/DEN makes sense given all the value on the Spurs’ side of things, while I think CHA/DET and WAS/NOP also have legitimate shootout potential. Even a correlated mini stack with one player on each side of some of the games with tighter spreads (e.g., BOS/HOU, ORL/TOR) looks viable.

TJ Zwarych: I’m playing 150 lineups, and I plan on being very underweight on the first few games so I can be ready to late swap and get over the field on all the players in the later games. Immanuel Quickley is the only player in the first 2 games that stands out as someone I really want to play, with maybe Mark Williams in that group too. Other than that, I’ll be loading up on the later games.
