NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, May 15
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Anthony Edwards (DK) / James Harden (FD)
headChopper: Anthony Edwards (DK) / Donovan Mitchell (FD)
ncorfield8k: Anthony Edwards (DK) / Evan Mobley (FD)
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. My plan of attack is to take a full stars-and-scrubs approach. I want to spend up on James Harden, Anthony Edwards, and Victor Wembanyama, so I’m planning to surround them with a bunch of value plays.
headChopper: I prefer large-field tournaments. This is one of the last two slates we will get this season with multiple teams on it. Everything after Sunday (and we do not know for sure about that) is all Showdowns. So I want to go with a large field and multiple lineups one more time. It also helps that this is a slate with 2 games where there are so many options. It is not a typical late playoff series where there are three or four good players producing on each team. This slate has solid stars at the top but also so many players in the middle who are capable of having good DFS games. I want to embrace that variance and spread my personal ownership out amongst these 4 teams and all these middle-tier guys.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I like a stars-and-scrubs approach here, as I think there are a few values who could see extended minutes, and some studs will see extra usage with the season on the line.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
