What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. My goal tonight is to be overweight on the Suns. They are missing three of their usual starters (Jalen Green, Grayson Allen, Mark Williams) and a key rotation player (Ryan Dunn). Despite all of those injuries, their implied team total is 7 points higher than their season average. This is all thanks to a matchup against the Wizards, who are 7th in pace and 30th in defensive rating this season.

headChopper: I’m mainly focused on small-field, single-entry tournaments tonight and will be running 1 lineup. More than likely, I’m going to fade Nikola Jokic in lieu of a cheaper option like Karl-Anthony Towns and use that salary to upgrade another position. I think two to three Suns value plays make sense given the matchup, so I’ll have exposure there as well. Outside of that, I’ll be looking for one highly projected piece above $7,000 or so that comes in at low pOWN% to round out the lineup.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing 1 lineup in single-entry tournaments, and I plan to play PHX/WAS as well as NYK/NOP as much as possible. I’ll stick to the expensive options of Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson for the Knicks and then go to the other teams for cheapies. Even if I were running multiple lineups, I’d make a rule to include one of Oso Ighodaro and Nick Richards in every lineup.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
