NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, February 23

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Kevin Durant (FD) / Cade Cunningham (DK)
headChopper: Kevin Durant
TJ Zwarych: Cade Cunningham

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I’m going to be in the small-field tournament streets. The situation that could be a tournament winner is the Grizzlies. They have an elite matchup at home against the Kings, who are ranked in the bottom 3 in rebounding rate, points allowed per game, and defensive rating. The tricky part is deciding which players to target, as we have 10 players projected to play between 22 and 27 minutes. I’m going to build 2-3 lineups and mix-and-match the Grizzlies throughout my squads.

headChopper: I prefer small-field tournaments that have limited entries. My plan is to be underweight on Cade Cunningham. While he is a very well-rounded fantasy player, I think the upside might be capped having to navigate around Victor Wembanyama in that matchup. I’ll be overweight on the Rockets in general. I will only have 1 lineup, but it might feature 3-4 Rockets. I think this is a good spot for them to pile it on the Jazz. Kevin Durant plays heavy minutes regardless of matchup, and I think we see a little extra from Reed Sheppard tonight.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing just 1 lineup in single-entry contests for this small 3-game slate, and I’ll be completely omitting the SA/DET game from my pool, outside of Cade Cunningham. I’ll look to stack up the SAC/MEM game as much as I can, while mixing in some Houston players to fill out my lineup.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
