NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, March 30
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Austin Reaves (FD) / Joel Embiid (DK)
headChopper: Austin Reaves (FD) / Bam Adebayo (DK)
TJ Zwarych: Austin Reaves (FD) / Bam Adebayo (DK)
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
Notorious: Austin Reaves (FD) / Joel Embiid (DK) – With Luka Doncic and Marcus Smart off the floor this season, Reaves has seen a 9.5% usage boost and averages 9 more fantasy points per 36 minutes. He’s easily my favorite play on FanDuel, as he draws a home matchup against the Wizards. Reaves isn’t included on the DraftKings slate, so I’ll side with Embiid over there. He draws a pace-up matchup against the Heat and has topped 49 fantasy points in 7 of the last 10 games.
headChopper: Austin Reaves (FD) / Stephon Castle (DK) — Castle is flashing nice DraftKings upside lately and gets a matchup against a weak Bulls defense – weak enough that Wemby might defer more, and Castle would benefit from that. As for Reaves, with Luka Doncic and Marcus Smart out, we have seen the massive ceiling Reaves possesses when given the keys to the offense. Throw in one of the best matchups in the NBA, and Reaves should crush this price tag on FanDuel.
TJ Zwarych: Austin Reaves (FD) / Joel Embiid (DK) – Reaves is an easy lock-button play on FD (where WAS/LAL is included), as the Lakers are set to be without Luka Doncic and Marcus Smart. On DK, there are a few strong options to choose from, but my favorite of the bunch is Embiid, who is still too cheap upon his return from injury. He got all the way up to 35 minutes in his last game, and now he draws one of the best possible matchups against the fast-paced Heat in a game with a tight spread.
Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
