NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, October 26
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
tcsmith031: Jayson Tatum (FD) / Giannis Antetokounmpo (DK)
headChopper: Jayson Tatum (FD) / Giannis Antetokounmpo (DK)
Dean78904: Jayson Tatum (FD) / Giannis Antetokounmpo (DK)
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
tcsmith031: Brandon Miller – With Kon Knueppel and Coby White out and LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges traded away, there’s suddenly a lot of usage available in Charlotte. Brandon Miller has predictably soaked up a lot of it (35%) early on. For the most part, those shots just haven’t been falling (29% FGs, 20% 3s), but we did see a glimpse of his ceiling in the last game when he was getting to the line consistently. I don’t love that Miller will likely draw coverage from Bilal Coulibaly in this one, but I do think he’s underpriced around the industry for his massive role.
headChopper: Kyle Kuzma – Kuzma led the Bucks with 35 minutes on Saturday and turned that into 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists. He hasn’t really gotten going as a scorer yet, but he’s played at least 27 minutes in every game, and that kind of workload at just $4,900 on both sites is hard to find. We has him projected for 31 minutes and 27.7 DraftKings points, and Indiana ranks as the 3rd-best matchup for a Versatile Forward in our NBA matchup tool. He’ll be fairly popular on DraftKings at around 20% projected ownership, but this is the kind of chalk I’m happy to eat.
Dean78904: Giannis Antetokounmpo – Ignore last game’s underwhelming 26.5 DK points, as he was in foul trouble all game and eventually fouled out. Antetokounmpo has been awesome in terms of fantasy points per minute (1.71 FD / 1.74 DK) for his new team. No team allowed more points in the paint last season than the Mavericks. Three games into this season, Dallas is once again allowing the most points in the paint. No player averaged more points in the paint last season than Giannis, and that has held true this season. In short, no one on Dallas is equipped to slow down The Greek Freak. The Heat are 0-3 and can really use a monster game from their franchise player, and I expect that to happen.
Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
