What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: Single-entry and 20-max GPPs for me, as usual. We’re really starved for cheap value on this slate, especially on the smaller DK slate. It looks like that’ll lead to a lot of ownership for Brandon Clarke, who’s cheap and likely to start in a beatable matchup against the Wizards. I get it, but I’m just not sure I want to play into ownership with a guy who has a likely ceiling of 20 minutes. Fading or coming in well under the field on a chalky Clarke and going with a more balanced build could be unique on this slate.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites tonight. I like the idea of locking in Jaren Jackson Jr. on both sites and then getting 1-2 more pieces from the Memphis game in each lineup. Where I will likely get different is getting more exposure to Cooper Flagg as opposed to the more popular Anthony Davis for Dallas. Flagg is just $7,100 on DK, and over on FD, he is priced up to $8,400.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs. I plan to play one of the cheap Memphis big men – either Jock Landale or Brandon Clarke – in every single lineup. I also want to load up on the 76ers without Joel Embiid or Paul George, and I’ll likely hit the lock button on Tyrese Maxey.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
