What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll go back to the well with large-field, 20-max contests. The Warriors grade out extremely well in projections without Stephen Curry, but we still have 12 Warriors projected to crack the rotation. There’s some uncertainty here as a result, yet most of the Warriors are projected to be popular. I’ll likely set a max of 3 Warriors per lineup and focus on also getting exposure to some of the cheap pieces from the Wolves, Spurs, and Heat.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests once again tonight. With GSW checking in as the top team with the most value plays, I do like saving spots for guys in other games like Stephon Castle, who started last night and is way too cheap on DK at $3,400. Miami has potential value, including Jaime Jaquez, Nikola Jovic, and Duncan Robinson. I will be looking to get to 2-3 Warriors pieces on my team and then mixing in other pieces that I mentioned above.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments. This will likely be a stars-and-scrubs night for me. There is a lot of strong value on the Warriors, and there are some contrarian studs I like paying up for, so I can eat the value chalk.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing large-field, 20-max contests instead of my typical 150 max because I like the way the prize pools look in those contests. However, my strategy will be similar to full-on MME with a tighter player pool. I want to game-stack the DEN/SAS as much as possible while filling out the rest of my lineup with cheap plays from Miami and Golden State.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
