NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, March 7

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

tcsmith031: Kawhi Leonard
Krayton: Tyrese Maxey
TJ Zwarych: Tyrese Maxey

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll focus on 20-max GPPs. The UTA/MIL game has a double-digit spread, but this is still one of the more stackable games on the slate. Ryan Rollins and Ousmane Dieng are solid options for all formats on the Bucks’ side, while I like the idea of running it back with some combination of Keyonte George, Kyle Filipowski, and Ace Bailey. I’ll embrace the uncertainty with the Utah rotations in a game with some shootout potential. I’m also planning on being underweight on this fragile Mo Bamba chalk.

Krayton: I will be playing just single-entry contests with one lineup. There’s enough value to get two spends in, and getting Tyrese Maxey and Jalen Johnson is my favorite way to build. Jalen Johnson is likely to be a lower-owned spend-up option, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kawhi Leonard, and Cade Cunningham (if he plays) are all projected for more ownership than Johnson as of early this afternoon.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup in single-entry tournaments. I plan to load up on the cheap value from OKC while spending up for Tyrese Maxey and at least one other star. I like the idea of pairing Maxey with Jalen Johnson, and that’s probably the way I’ll end up building.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
