What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll play a few single-entry contests. We have a lot of potential value in the games locking at 7 PM ET, but I’d still like to keep some roster spots open in case we don’t get the Giannis Antetokounmpo news before lock. Damian Lillard is a pretty good play regardless of whether Giannis suits up, but he could become the best spend-up option on the slate at potentially limited ownership if Antetokounmpo is ruled out after lock.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests tonight. With HOU missing Fred VanVleet, I will be overweight on guys like Amen Thompson, Alperen Sengun, Tari Eason, and Jalen Green. I will then look to mix in lower-owned GPP plays like Zion Williamson, Trae Young, and Stephen Curry.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – With so much strong value on the Raptors, this is setting up to be a stars-and-scrubs slate for me. If Scottie Barnes misses, I will likely increase my max players on the Raptors from three in a lineup to four, as they will provide a lot of strong options.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll MME in large-field tournaments. Although I typically like backloading my lineups and waiting for news, I’ll be loading up on the early games, with my primary targets being the first three games, especially HOU and TOR.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
