What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: This looks like a good slate for large-field GPPs. With several teams on the second halves of back-to-backs, we could have quite a bit of injury news to monitor. As a result, I will forgo any sort of social life on a Saturday night and instead hang around my computer late-swapping as needed. Late swap is still generally underutilized, especially in NBA DFS.

Krayton: Late swap is going to be extremely valuable not only tonight, but all season long. We are already starting to see that Charlotte has some questionable tags on players, which could open up quite a bit of value. I will be playing mostly single entry tonight, but l will also be playing the 20-entry max on DK. I will be looking to get heavy exposure to guys like Alperen Sengun, Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Edwards, and some of the top plays that are projected to carry lower ownership. I like playing the value where it’s available and then playing the stars that are going overlooked.

ncorfield8k: Large-field GPPs – In NBA DFS, my highest ROI historically has been on Saturdays. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is because I play better on Saturdays. I think the field gets lazy (or busy, if you want to be charitable) on Saturday nights. Paying attention to news and late swapping is crucial every day of the week, but it’s a much bigger edge on Saturdays because fewer people do it. LATE. SWAP.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 20-entry max tonight, which I plan to be my main style of contest going forward this NBA season. It’ll be imperative to pay close attention to the news today, as many teams are on back-to-backs and have players listed as questionable. Charlotte stands out as a team to watch with a plethora of potential value opening up, so I’ll stick to a core of Wembanyama, SGA, Tatum, and Sengun as spend ups while mixing and matching various value pieces that come available throughout the day.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
