NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, October 31

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

tcsmith031: Darius Acuff
Krayton: Darius Acuff
TJ Zwarych: Darius Acuff

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: This slate doesn’t have a ton of obvious cheap value, so a balanced build comes together a little easier as a result. The field is going to be on the SAC/MEM game (understandably), but I think there’s just as much shootout potential in the ATL/NOP game. You can’t really dream up a more favorable matchup for Jalen Johnson, while Onyeka Okongwu and Karlo Matkovic are a couple of salary savers on my radar. Running it back with a potentially lower-owned Dejounte Murray is a fun way to make that game stack a little different. This game has a 240.5 total and a 4.5-point spread.

Krayton: I will be playing just single-entry contests on both sites tonight. On FD, I like the idea of focusing on the PHI/CHA game and then loading up on the ATL/NOP and SAC/MEM games while largely ignoring the other games. On DK, I will be focusing on ATL/NOP and SAC/MEM, relying on game stacks more than I usually do for basketball. If playing around 20 lineups, I would consider cutting the other games from my player pool.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing a single-entry lineup tonight, and I’ll be heavily stacking up SAC/MEM as my primary game. Even if I were running 150 lineups, I’d consider hitting the lock button on both Darius Acuff and Cameron Boozer, and I like the ancillary pieces around them as well. I’ll likely ignore CLE/MIL entirely, and I’ll potentially ignore OKC/HOU as well (depending on injury news).

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
