Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll focus on single-entry GPPs. I’d like to go out of my way to pay up for Luka Doncic, which admittedly requires some risky sacrifices on a slate without a lot of great cheap value. I will likely punt with Keon Ellis assuming he draws another start for the injury-plagued Kings, while we also have some cheap value opening up for Washington with Kyshawn George ruled out.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests along with some 20-max type of contests. I will be looking to build around 1-2 of Luka Doncic, Deni Avdija, and Kawhi Leonard. I don’t mind punting with some riskier cheap value that will be emerging from Kyshawn George just getting ruled out and then sprinkling in guys like Brook Lopez, Tre Johnson, and Keon Ellis.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup in single-entry contests, and I like the idea of pairing Jaylen Brown and Deni Avdija while loading up on the cheap value from Sacramento. It’s scary to fade Luka Doncic, but both Brown and Avdija are doing everything for their teams right now, and they come in at much cheaper price tags.
