What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll wade into the 20-max waters again tonight. Most of the best value is coming from the final game of the night (SAC-GSW). I don’t think Stephen Curry will garner a ton of ownership thanks to his questionable status, but I love the idea of fully stacking the game with Steph and one of the high-usage Kings (Sabonis, DeRozan, or Monk) with most of the field flocking to the cheap stuff in this game.

Krayton: I will be playing the single-entry contests and 20-entry max on DK tonight. We just got news that John Collins, Lauri Markkanen, and Jordan Clarkson are all out, making the UTA game an interesting one to target. Even though it’s a tougher matchup against the Magic, I do like being overweight on this game in general, with ORL missing Banchero, Wagner, and Suggs. I also like going overweight on Alperen Sengun, as his usage has been over 30% without Jabari Smith and Tari Eason. I expect his ownership to be lower with the UTA news and with Sabonis being popular tonight.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just play one lineup tonight in single entry, utilizing the Warriors value to spend up for as many studs as possible. Despite the smaller slate, there are still tons of expensive plays I have interest in, so I want to play two of Domantas Sabonis, Alperen Sengun, and Anthony Davis. We have the value to make it work, and we can even fit a mid-range option like Donovan Mitchell or Evan Mobley.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
