What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: Just some single-entry and 20-max contests for me tonight. This slate features a couple of tricky tanking teams in the Raptors and Jazz. Both teams are road underdogs, and both teams have been fairly unpredictable when it comes to the minutes for their starters. Rather than dealing with the headache, I’m planning largely to fade both Utah and Toronto. There is enough stable value elsewhere that I wouldn’t mess with those teams outside of larger-field GPPs.
Krayton: I will be playing my usual single-entry contests along with the 25-entry max contest on FD. I will be going overweight on both Portland and Minnesota. Portland has a nice total of 118, and there are several players with a questionable status. Minnesota gets a great matchup against Utah, and with Conley out, Donte DiVincenzo is a player I will be locking in.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be running 150 lineups on DraftKings in large-field contests. I plan to pretty much ignore the CHA/LAC game entirely and focus on the other four. Minnesota is the top target, followed by Portland, but I also want to target players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cam Johnson, D’Angelo Russell, and some Raptors if RJ Barrett happens to get ruled out.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
