What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll mix some MME and single-entry contests on what looks like a fun GPP slate. I plan to limit my exposure to the 6 PM ET games (TOR/ORL, NYK/MIA) to give myself a longer window to wait for injury news. All of LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Anthony Edwards, and Bradley Beal are listed as questionable coming into the day, and I want to keep my powder dry enough to make swaps accordingly depending on how those situations shake out.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests along with the 20-entry max contests over on DK. I like the idea of building around the core of LeBron James and Kyle Filipowski, and from there, I will look to get 1-2 lower-owned, high-upside guys like Zion Williamson, Jalen Brunson, and Luka Doncic in my lineups, as there is enough value- especially with UTA.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field contests, and similar to Taylor, I’ll be completely excluding the first two games and waiting for later news. Even if all of the questionable players happen to be ruled in, the first two games of the night are ugly enough for fantasy purposes regardless that I’m perfectly fine fading them. I’ll mix and match spend-ups, but I plan on getting as much exposure to NOP/UTA as I possibly can.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
