NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, March 8

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

tcsmith031: Trey Murphy
Krayton: Trey Murphy
TJ Zwarych: Ryan Rollins

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: It’ll be a mix of 20-max and single-entry GPPs. The Bulls have 4 players carrying questionable tags into the day. If we don’t get an update before lock, there could be an edge in keeping your powder dry until the later games. Collin Sexton and Nick Richards are a couple of cheapies who could become elite values at lower ownership if some of their teammates get ruled out after lock. The field generally doesn’t late swap enough to account for news, so this is one way to get an edge on a slate with shaky cheap value as things stand now.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites tonight. When playing multiple lineups, I love being able to lock in a couple of players I feel strongly about. Ousmane Dieng is too good of a value play to pass up with the minutes he has been getting and the upside he has been displaying. Victor Wembanyama is the guy I want to lock in on the high-end side. As of early this afternoon, he is projected for under 20% ownership, making him an elite tournament play.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs. I’ll stack up the WAS/NOP and CHI/SAC games as much as possible, as both should feature fast paces and very little defense. I’ll also hit the lock button on Ousmane Dieng, which should allow me to spend up for players like Victor Wembanyama as much as possible.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
