NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, May 3
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
tcsmith031: Paolo Banchero
Krayton: Paolo Banchero
TastefulTides: Scottie Barnes
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll play some single-entry GPPs. This slate is sorely lacking cheap value, which could lead the field into a more balanced build. I’d rather embrace the risk and try a stars-and-scrubs approach. That’ll require taking some dives with guys like Tristan da Silva, Sam Merrill, and Daniss Jenkins, but it’ll be worth it if the stars show up in a big way. It’s difficult, but I like the idea of finding a way to jam both Cade Cunningham and Scottie Barnes into the same lineup.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests on both sites. Given the must-win nature of both games, I like the idea of doing more of a game stack, such as building around Paolo Banchero and Cade Cunningham in the ORL/DET game and building around Scottie Barnes and either Evan Mobley or James Harden in the TOR/CLE game. In the playoffs, I don’t mind putting in some low-owned value pieces to make it all work; using guys like Duncan Robinson and Tristan da Silva are my preferred way to build.
TastefulTides: Single-entry is my preferred tournament format. I will be building heavily around the TOR/CLE game. It has the higher game total and the closer spread. I will also be building with the idea that the Raptors win this game or at the very least stay within the spread.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
