NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, October 25

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

tcsmith031: Ty Jerome (FD) / Tyrese Maxey (DK)
Krayton: Ty Jerome (FD) / Scottie Barnes (DK)
TJ Zwarych: Ty Jerome (FD) / Tyrese Maxey (DK)

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: Single-entry tournaments for me tonight. I will simply play Paul Reed in every lineup with Jalen Duren sidelined, while I’ll be prioritizing the Grizzlies (Ty Jerome, Cameron Boozer) in a prime matchup against the Kings on FanDuel. On DraftKings, most of the Knicks’ starters look underpriced in a sneaky-good matchup against a Magic team running at the NBA’s 2nd-fastest pace early in the season. TOR/MIN is also a sneaky game with some of the more expensive pieces likely to come with fairly low ownership.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests tonight along with some of the 20-max contests. On DK, I will be overweight on the New York Knicks, as we are getting some great prices on guys like Josh Hart and OG Anunoby, who are in a great position to put up big numbers in a fast-paced game. I will also be locking in Paul Reed as the free square and then look to add lower-owned studs such as Jalen Brunson or Kawhi Leonard to get a different build.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup in single-entry contests, and I plan to basically avoid the LAC/OKC game and cut this down to a 3-game slate on DK and a 5-game slate on FD. On FD, I’ll be loading up on the Grizzlies, but since they’re not available on DK, I’ll be a bit more spread out there and focus on a mid-range build that features Scottie Barnes, Desmond Bane, and Tyrese Maxey or Jaylen Brown.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
