NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, April 25

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Tyrese Maxey
squirrelpatrol: D’Angelo Russell
headChopper: Jarrett Allen

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Cole Anthony – This pick is not meant for cash games. Anthony has only averaged 14 minutes and 7 fantasy points per game in this series. However, the Magic have been putrid on offense (games of 86 and 83 points so far in this series). I could see Anthony having a bigger role tonight, and he should be more efficient with his minutes now that the series has shifted to Orlando. During the regular season, he averaged 1.03 fantasy points per minute.

squirrelpatrol: Wendell Carter – This is a definite contrarian play, as I have little confidence in Carter’s minutes. But Jonathan Isaac and Moritz Wagner will both be popular, and Carter could stifle the minutes for both of those players if he plays well in his first rotation. Carter has played 33 minutes total through the first 2 games of the series, putting up 9 points and 7 rebounds, but he could get more playing time with his size needed against Cleveland’s frontcourt.

headChopper: Donovan Mitchell – According to the early ownership projections, Mitchell might get lost in the shuffle. High price tag combined with 2 modest games to start the series will do that. However, he has slate-breaking upside, and I tend to like stars when they go on the road after letting the role players dominate the first 2 games of the series.
