NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, December 12

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Jaylen Brown
headChopper: Domantas Sabonis
Dean78904: Kristaps Porzingis

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. Even though the Celtics have a difficult matchup on paper, Jayson Tatum being out opens up too much for me to ignore them on this 3-game slate. He has averaged 37 minutes and 53 fantasy points per game this season, with a usage rate of 30%. My plan of attack is to be overweight on the Celtics in tournaments.

headChopper: I’m building 10 lineups for higher-dollar GPPs that have smaller fields. With Jayson Tatum and Sam Hauser out, I’ll embrace the Celtics chalk, including 3+ Celtics players in nearly every lineup. To differentiate (based on early pOWN%), I’ll go overweight on Domantas Sabonis, Cade Cunningham, and Jimmy Butler, spreading them across those lineups.

Dean78904: I will build my lineups with a main focus on single-entry contests. Typically on such a small slate, I like to commit to 1 game and have my lineup tell the story of a game stack going off. The tricky thing is, while I like Boston, I don’t really care for Detroit. I’m in on Miami, but Toronto isn’t all that thrilling. SAC/NOP is my favorite game stack, but individually, my favorite pieces come from Boston and Miami. I don’t generally love the lineup construction theory of playing multiple Heat and Celtic players with zero players from the opposing teams, but I can see going that route this evening.
