NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, February 19
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Tyrese Maxey
headChopper: Tyrese Maxey
Dean78904: Tyrese Maxey
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. The key situation for me is the Pacers. They have already ruled out Pascal Siakam, Obi Toppin, Ivica Zubac, and Johnny Furphy, while Micah Potter, Aaron Nesmith, T.J. McConnell, and Quenton Jackson are listed as questionable. Add in an elite matchup against the Wizards, and they are easily my favorite team to stack. They’ll be popular, but I’ll make sure to be overweight in my lineups.
headChopper: I prefer small-field GPPs with limited entries. I am fine eating most of the Sixers chalk, but to get different, I will be underweight on a lot of the Pacers chalk outside of maybe Jarace Walker. I’m looking to pair Tyrese Maxey with another highly projected player in my lineup, and I will make sure that second stud isn’t over 10% or so pOWN%.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and small-field contests and only make a couple of main lineups. I expect to play at least one, if not multiple, Sixers in every lineup. I love the idea of rostering the game’s two studs in Tyrese Maxey and Jalen Johnson. The combination of Evan Mobley being back and a massive spread has me expecting to fully fade the BKN/CLE game. The current slate’s best value is in the IND/WAS game, where both teams want to lose. I presume I’ll end up with pieces from this game, as many players project well (especially on the Indy side), but I’m also cautious of projections, as no game has more rotation volatility, in my opinion.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
