Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Jamal Murray – The Nuggets have one of the best matchups on the slate, as the Wizards are 7th in pace, 26th in rebounding rate, and 29th in points allowed per game this season. Despite missing Nikola Jokic (and others), Denver still has a team total of 119 points. Murray has topped 50 fantasy points in 6 of his last 8 games without Jokic and has topped 60 fantasy points in 4 of those games. He should dominate usage in an elite matchup.

headChopper: Jamal Murray — He isn’t projected to be nearly as highly owned as I would’ve expected given how much he’s dominated this offense without Nikola Jokic. Denver has dropped 2 straight games, making this a clear get-right spot against a bad defense. Murray was cruising through 3 quarters in Tuesday’s loss to the Lakers before going ice cold in the 4th. He should project as a top-3 DFS scorer on this slate at worst, and his price is right in line with the other elite options, making it more about preference and trust. I like Murray’s current role in the offense paired with this matchup (No. 1 in our Defense vs. Archetype Tool for Combo Guards) more than I trust the other players in this price range.

Dean78904: Jamal Murray – The price has been elevated, but Murray keeps justifying it. The Denver PG has really stepped up in the absence of Nikola Jokic, scoring 50+ DK points in 6 of his last 8 games. The Wizards play fast, and if not for the Utah Jazz existing, they’d have the NBA’s worst defensive efficiency. Specific to Murray and his position, the Wizards are the #1 opponent for Combo Guards according to our Defense vs. Archetype Matchup Tool. Murray is my favorite target in the most stackable game on the board, making him a top big spend for me.
