What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry contests. To contend in these, you don’t have to be super contrarian. I generally try to let the field make the mistake of fading elite chalk, and that’ll be my strategy tonight. I am locking in Austin Reaves and the value plays for the Lakers. They have a decent matchup at home and will be without LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Rui Hachimura.

headChopper: This is an odd slate, split directly into two time frames, making it perfect for multi-entry GPPs. You can enter lineups, watch the first games, then have plenty of time to adjust teams that are almost dead, tweak promising lineups, and account for late news. For me, I’m watching a lot of CBB today, so I’ll stick with 1 lineup in large-field contests and some player props. My difference-maker will be targeting 2-3 high-upside players with low projected ownership—currently, that’s a double-center lineup with Nikola Vucevic and Myles Turner.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. We have half the teams on the slate playing on the back half of a back-to-back. Additionally, the slate is basically split like a doubleheader, with 3 games tipping off at 10:00 PM ET or later. Things can become more appealing if injury news cracks a certain way for the early games, but as things stand early in the day, I’m really gravitating to MIL/LAL and CHI/SAC (especially if Zach LaVine and Josh Giddey sit out). Ideally, I will have Austin Reaves and Giannis Antetokounmpo paired together on my main lineup.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
