What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. We have a small slate with some obvious plays. I want to eat the chalk on the Celtics (they have already ruled out Kristaps Porzingis, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, and Jrue Holiday) and then look to differentiate with the rest of my lineup. Two of my favorite differentiators are Karl-Anthony Towns and Amen Thompson.
headChopper: This would be a great multi-entry slate for large fields and big prizes, but with the impactful late game added, I’m sticking to a single lineup spread across various contests. My build is geared toward single-entry, higher buy-in contests, meaning it will be a bit more conservative. I’ll differentiate by targeting one or two under-owned players while embracing chalk elsewhere. The late-night hammer game and the Rockets seem to be going overlooked right now, in my opinion.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. It is a smallish slate that I’ll likely shrink by not playing anyone from the GS-BKL game. I expect to play at least two Celtics on very lineup (and that could jump to three if Jayson Tatum sits out).
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
