NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, April 23
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Pascal Siakam
squirrelpatrol: Pascal Siakam
headChopper: Pascal Siakam
Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
Notorious: Jusuf Nurkic – He rarely garnered ownership in the regular season, and that carried over into Game 1 of the playoffs. Center is a very deep position on this 3-game slate, so there’s a chance we see him in the single digits when it comes to ownership. Even though the Wolves are the best defensive team in the NBA, I like this matchup for Nurkic because of Minnesota’s size. He would have easily cracked the 30-minute mark had he not picked up his 4th foul early in the 4th quarter. He averaged 1.27 DK / 1.28 FD points per minute during the regular season. He offers serious upside for a player that’s not on anyone’s radar.
squirrelpatrol: Ivica Zubac – Zubac won’t be as popular as the other center options, like Bobby Portis, but the Clippers center put up 20 points and 15 rebounds against Dallas in Game 1. The Mavs struggled protecting the paint during the regular season, allowing the 6th-most rebounds and the 11th-most points in the paint per game (the 3rd most among remaining teams), and I expect that to continue in the playoffs.
headChopper: Luka Doncic – Early pOWN% numbers have Luka at 20-25% on both sites. Given his salary, I think those numbers are going to be spot on. He is still projected for 10+ fantasy points better than any other player, and we are dealing with a 3-gamer. Meaning, if he puts up a number that he is typically good for, you are going to have a hard time winning a GPP without him.
