NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, April 28
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Jayson Tatum
headChopper: Karl-Anthony Towns
ncorfield8k: Jalen Brunson
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. With elimination games in Boston and San Antonio, I could see one or both of those games turning into a blowout. I don’t love a ton of pieces from those games, so my plan of attack tonight is to be overweight on the ATL/NYK game. The Hawks have been volatile and aren’t garnering a ton of ownership, while many will look to Karl-Anthony Towns on the Knicks. Personally, I prefer going with Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby, as KAT has relied on extreme efficiency in the first 4 games of the series.
headChopper: I am playing 1 lineup in small-field tournaments. I am just trying to build a lineup that has some sort of upside at each roster spot. I do not want to take a low-ceiling player just because he saves money and squeezes in some expensive guys. I can envision a scenario where Boston beats the Sixers in a big blowout, and that could create a ceiling game for one of the Boston bench players. That is a path to save money, squeeze in stars, and still hold some upside.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – There is not any big injury news expected, but the Blazers could make a change to their starting lineup. Jerami Grant and/or Robert Williams III could start. Neither is very sneaky, but I will be overweight on Grant. I’ll be heavily attacking the $6,000–$8,000 range on DraftKings.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
