What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. The 2 players that I want to build around are Luka Doncic and DeAaron Fox. I know Luka’s ownership will be inflated thanks to the revenge narrative against the Mavericks, but I will not be missing out on his most motivated game of the season so far. Fox has dominated usage with Victor Wembanyama out and could fly under the radar with so many good spends at PG.
headChopper: I will be entering 3 lineups in smaller-field, 3-entry-max tournaments that are in the mid-stakes range. This gives me the opportunity to build 3 unique lineups, as I see multiple paths worth attacking on this slate. I’ll make sure to be overweight on the DAL/LAL game—this is a prime revenge spot if I’ve ever seen one. I’ll also target the SAS/NOP game and be overweight there as well, filling in the rest as value opens up.
tcsmith031: I’ll walk around the 20-max streets tonight. Building with cheap pieces from the PHX/MEM game along with Luka Doncic figures to be a popular way to build, but I like the idea of stacking some of the expensive Suns and Grizzlies together. This game has the highest total on the board, and I’ll bank on the shootout potential. The Celtics also look like a strong source of cheap value with Jrue Holiday out and Al Horford questionable.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
