NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, February 3

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Bam Adebayo
headChopper: Karl-Anthony Towns
ncorfield8k: Karl-Anthony Towns

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. The slate was just flipped on its head, as the Pacers have ruled out their five best players. They also have the best matchup on the board, so I am going to have as many Pacers as possible in every lineup (4 on FanDuel, 5 on DraftKings). From that point, you can really target whoever you want when it comes to the superstars. This isn’t going to be contrarian, but I still think it’s the right play in small-field tournaments.

headChopper: I prefer small-field tournaments that have limited entries. We’ll see what the NBA injury report looks like closer to tip-off, but my early roster construction doesn’t have me playing anyone over $9,000 on either site. I’m much more interested in balanced builds, loading up each roster spot with high-ceiling players. That’s subject to change if the right news breaks later, but for now, the key for me is fading some of the midrange chalk, like Kyle Filipowski. The metric from our tools that’s standing out most in my process tonight is the ceiling projections, and that’s playing a big role in how I’m building.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll play a lot of the UTA/IND value. I’ll look for ways to get different in my spend-ups, but I’ll also look for ways to get different within the value plays, whether it’s just playing bench guys or using unique combos.
