Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Tyrese Maxey – Despite topping 55 fantasy points in 5 of his last 10 games, Maxey is still coming in at low projected ownership. And this is after Joel Embiid has been ruled out. I know a matchup against the Suns is far from ideal, but Maxey continues to get it done on a nightly basis. I’m happy to be overweight on him this evening.

headChopper: Anthony Edwards — The blowout factor is real when facing Utah, but that’s often what drives ownership down on expensive players in these spots. Minnesota’s implied team total is roughly 9 points higher than their season scoring average, and they play at a top-3 pace in the league, which naturally leads to more turnovers and extra possessions. Edwards ranks 2nd on the team in combined steals and blocks per game, adding to his ceiling. He’s also one of Minnesota’s better 3-point shooters, and Utah allows the most 3-pointers per game in the NBA this season.

ncorfield8k: Anthony Edwards – Ant was just snubbed as an All-Star starter. Does that matter? Probably not. But what does matter is this exceptional matchup with the Jazz. The Jazz have played at the 3rd-fastest pace in the NBA over the last 10 games while ranking last in defensive rating.
