Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Jalen Johnson – Any of the Sixers work for this answer as well, but Johnson is my favorite overall play. With Trae Young out of the lineup, he has dominated the usage for the Hawks. He has scored at least 50 fantasy points in 6 of his last 7 games, yet he’s still priced under $10,000 on both FanDuel and DraftKings. The kicker here is a matchup against the Wizards, who are 4th in pace and dead last in both points allowed per game and defensive rating.

headChopper: Jalen Johnson – The matchup is a plus against a Washington team that has given up points in the paint at a top-10 rate and has allowed opponents to rebound at a top-5 rate this season. Johnson rested vs. the Lakers 2 weeks ago, and since his return, he’s played 8 games and hit 45 fantasy points or more in all of them, including a sick game of 31 points, 18 rebounds, 14 assists, and 7 steals that demonstrated his massive upside. Luka Doncic is typically a tier-1 fantasy player on the same level as Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo and the best of the best, but he only projects for a handful more fantasy points than Johnson, with Johnson checking in at a significant price discount.

ncorfield8k: Kristaps Porzingis – Kristaps has not seen a significant usage boost with Trae Young off the court this season, but I’d expect it to grow with more time. He also gets a fantastic matchup with the Wizards, who play at the 4th-fastest pace in the league and rebound at the 2nd-worst rate, while having a league-worst defensive rating. On an individual level, it’s the best possible matchup for a Versatile Big, per our Defense vs. Archetype tool.
