What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. We don’t have a lot of cheap value on the slate, but I still want to prioritize Luka Doncic. If he has a ceiling game, the faders aren’t going to be able to catch the lineups with Luka in them. I’ll look for cheap value on the Thunder and Spurs.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type of contests. The Suns play the first game, so we’ll know pre-lock, but as of this afternoon, we don’t know if Devin Booker is playing or not. If Booker plays, I’ll very likely just cross out the Suns entirely. If Booker is out, I’m more open to the Suns, with Jordan Goodwin being my favorite target if I’m playing the blowout angle. I expect to play one of Luka Doncic or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in most of the lineups I make (if not every lineup).
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – With just 2 games on the slate, happening sequentially, this is a slate to overfocus on late-swapping. Lineups that are completely dead to cash with chalky later players can have a chance by swapping onto contrarian players. And lineups that get ahead in the early game can block large swaths of the field by swapping onto the chalk.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
