NBA DFS Showdown Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, May 22
DRAFTKINGS
Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?
Notorious: Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert
squirrelpatrol: Rudy Gobert, Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns
headChopper: Anthony Edwards, Kyrie Irving, Rudy Gobert
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: My preferred contests are single-entry and small-field tournaments. I’ll probably only build one lineup on each site and plan to use Daniel Gafford in both of those builds. Given the matchup, I see a path for him to play 25+ minutes per game in this series. We’ve already seen him break a couple of slates in the playoffs, and he averaged 1.17 DK / 1.26 FD points per minute during the regular season.
squirrelpatrol: I’ll play the largest-field contests, likely going underweight on Luka Doncic in the the CPT spot on DraftKings but overweight on FanDuel where there is no salary multiplier. I’ll also look to avoid players in the same lineup who could eat into each other’s playing time, like Dereck Lively and Daniel Gafford.
headChopper: I’ll have a single-entry lineup in some of the larger prize pools and then 20 lineups in some of the 20-max GPPs. I plan on being overweight on the Minnesota bigs and underweight on the Dallas backcourt. I’ll limit my Dallas backcourt exposure by only allowing 1 max of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in each lineup.
