What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer single-entry and small-field tournaments. My plan of attack on this slate is to be contrarian with my value plays. As it stands right now, there are 8-10 values that all project as comparable point-per-dollar options. I’ll let ownership dictate where I go for my value, as there’s not a lot separating this group in terms of their median projections.
Stevietpfl: I typically focus on single-entry contests for FD and DK. That will be the case again tonight. I think Victor Wembanyama will be low-owned at the top end, and I always like to find a value play who is projecting for lower pOWN% to pivot off of one chalk play as well. I’m hoping Guerschon Yabusele goes overlooked.
Dean78904: I will be concentrating on single-entry / 3-entry-max contests. Considering the matchup, I expect to have at least one Knick in every lineup. Ryan Rollins is currently questionable but projects to be quite popular. Assuming this pOWN% holds, and knowing how the chalk gets even more popular in single-entry GPPs, I think he makes for an interesting fade, as we are not at a loss for value plays (Jared McCain, Jaylen Nowell, Guerschon Yabusele, Malik Beasley, etc.). IND/ORL is the only 7:00 PM ET game, and while there are some fine plays, there is no one I feel like I MUST have. I can see skipping the game to buy myself an extra 30 minutes for potential news flow.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – There will be some great value on this slate, but it’s hard to know who the best value plays are right now. Paying attention to not just injury news but also starting lineups will be crucial. Late swap won’t be tough with only an hour separating start times, but it’s as important as ever.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
