Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Immanuel Quickley
SquirrelPatrol: Immanuel Quickley
Stevietpfl: Immanuel Quickley
ncorfield8k: Immanuel Quickley
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: Small-field tournaments – There are so many unknowns on the first slate of the season (rotations, matchups, etc.), so I don’t think we need to do anything special to differentiate from the field, especially in small-field tournaments. I expect ownership to be spread out, so I am going to lean on the players that I have the most confidence in. I’m following Michael Scott’s advice to Dwight Schrute: “K.I.S.S. Keep it simple, stupid. Great advice… hurts my feelings every time.”
SquirrelPatrol: I’ll play in the large-field tournaments with a plan to stick to projections a bit more than I normally do in this first full slate of the season. We don’t have as much injury uncertainty as we will for most slates going forward, but we could see ownership spread out more than we’re used to over the opening week of the season.

Stevietpfl: I plan to play single-entry contests with 1-3 main lineups. I typically take more shots on lower-pOWN% plays in NBA DFS. This slate, James Harden and LaMelo Ball are my two biggest stands. We’re currently projecting Ball for lower ownership, which means I won’t need to worry about pOWN% with the rest of my team.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – Figuring out minutes is always the most important thing for NBA DFS, and early in the season there can be a lot of volatility in minutes projections. I’ll play a lot of the top-projected plays—more important in NBA DFS than any other DFS sport I play—but I’ll also mix in players I think are going overlooked who may have bigger roles than expected.
