NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, April 16

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: De’Aaron Fox
squirrelpatrol: De’Aaron Fox
headChopper: De’Aaron Fox

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Rui Hachimura – We currently have him projected for minimal ownership even though he has shown upside of 40+ fantasy points recently. With Christian Wood and Jarred Vanderbilt out, the Lakers have gone with a more condensed frontcourt rotation. Hachimura has topped 40 fantasy points in 3 of his last 8 games and is projected for 32 minutes against the Pelicans.

squirrelpatrol: Keon Ellis – The minutes should be increasing for star players in the playoffs, so to afford the spend-ups, we’ll need to find value plays with secure minutes. Ellis has seen his playing time increase with the injuries to Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk, and he averaged 8.2 points and 1.5 steals after the All-Star Break compared to 3.5 PPG and 0.4 SPG before the break.

headChopper: CJ McCollum – It’s hard to get different on a 2-game slate, but McCollum projects to check in with under 25% ownership on each site. That qualifies as low owned for a guy that projects at nearly 40 fantasy points on such a small slate. I actually like him to step up as a veteran in a game that has such importance.
