NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, February 24

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

tcsmith031: Eleven different Pistons logged at least 9 minutes in the last game, while nobody played more than 34. There doesn’t seem to be much rhyme or reason to Detroit’s rotation right now, which makes it tough to have much faith in anyone here, including the starters.

Krayton: Jalen Brunson gets almost a 5% usage increase with Julius Randle off the floor and with RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley traded to Toronto. We don’t get any discounts with Brunson; however, he makes a great tournament play on a 3-game slate, as he is projecting for under 20% oWN%.

TastefulTides: For the entire season, the Brooklyn Nets are ranked 21st in defensive rating. However, in their last 10-games played, they rank 29th in defensive rating. Perhaps without Jacque Vaughn this team can improve, but right now, I think the Nets are a great team to attack. Minnesota has multiple pieces that can hit ceilings in this matchup.

TJ Zwarych: The Orlando Magic are the only team on the slate with an implied team total higher than their season average. The Celtics, Knicks, and Nets all have implied totals of at least 6 points lower than their average, while for the Magic, it’s more than 5 points higher.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
