NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, January 14

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

tcsmith031: Devin Booker (28.6%) leads the Suns in usage in the minutes he’s played alongside Bradley Beal. Beal’s 25.2% usage rate is higher than I expected to see coming into the season, and he’s affected Kevin Durant the most. KD’s usage is down by nearly 5% across the 231 minutes he’s played next to Beal this season.

Krayton: Even though De’Aaron Fox has been struggling, he is still carrying a 31.6% usage rate, which is 7% higher than Domantas Sabonis (23.5%). His price is now below $9,000 on both sites, making him a nice play tonight.

TastefulTides: Damian Lillard has a 27.29% usage rate, and he has to share the court with Giannis Antetokounmpo and his 33.7% usage rate. When adjusted for salaries, I consider Dame the better fantasy asset on this slate. In 1,200 minutes this season, Dame is averaging 1.23 DK points per minute.

TJ Zwarych: The Bucks and Kings both have implied team totals higher than their season average, and their game features a total 14 points higher than any other on the slate.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
