NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, November 5

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

tcsmith031: Terry Rozier left last night’s game with a groin injury, so we’re not projecting him to play tonight in Dallas. Since the beginning of last season, PJ Washington and LaMelo Ball have each seen 2.9% upticks in usage with Rozier off the floor.

krayton: Shaedon Sharpe has gotten a 5.9% usage boost without Scoot Henderson and Anfernee Simons on the floor. Malcolm Brogdon rates out as our top RGValue. However, I will be overweight on Sharpe, whose price hasn’t increased all that much in the last couple of games.

TastefulTides: Despite the lowest total on this 3-game slate, this POR / MEM game is priced for a game stack. The Grizzlies are not the same team without Ja Morant and Steven Adams. This game should stay very close, and it’s very easy to get multiple pieces of it.

TJ Zwarych: I love the POR/MEM game stack call by my colleagues, but I also want to point out the potential for fantasy greatness with the Charlotte Hornets. Without Terry Rozier, that opens up a ton of additional usage, with LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, and Brandon Miller being my primary targets. If this game stays close, there could be huge performances by a bunch of Hornets and Luka Doncic on the other side.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
