NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, December 19

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Jusuf Nurkic – REVENGE is best served cold. Or, in this case, it’s best served as a big fantasy outing against your former team. In his first meeting with the Blazers this season, Nurkic put up 44 fantasy points. This will be his first trip back to Portland since joining the Suns, so he has a little added motivation tonight. The Suns are without Bradley Beal, so he should see a nice uptick in usage as well. He’s checking in with low ownership projections for a 4-game slate.

squirrelpatrol: Damian Lillard – The Spurs give up the 4th-most points per game and the 2nd-most 3-pointers, and Dame leads the Bucks with 3.1 3-pointers and 8.6 3-pointers allowed per game this season. This game has the highest total on the board by 15 points, and Lillard is a well-priced core piece on FanDuel and a very viable tournament play on DraftKings.

headChopper: Jayson Tatum – Even on a 4-game slate, Tatum will likely be projected at minuscule ownership (relative to the slate). SAS/MIL is the outlier, but the total is in line with the other two games, and the spread is the tightest of the slate. Blowouts have cost him extra minutes this season, but the oddsmakers are telling us that is less of a worry tonight.

Stevietpfl: Anfernee Simons – Simons has scored at least 48 fantasy points in 3 of the 6 games since returning from injury, and the sites have been slow to increase his price. He’s projected for less than 20% ownership on a 4-game slate. It’s a tough matchup against the Suns, but it should be a competitive game. Simons has a 30.4% usage rate with a 28.8% assist rate on the season. He’s averaging 1.22 fantasy points per minute.

TheLuuch: Jayson Tatum – When Tatum logs mega minutes, his ceiling is still very high for his price. He’s played 17 games with 36+ minutes this season and has tallied 50+ DraftKings points in 9 of them. That includes 4 games with 56+ DraftKings points. He does not have the frequent 60-point ceiling as he did in the past without Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, but the matchup with Golden State is a good one. Draymond Green has missed 8 of the last 14 games, and the Warriors rank 22nd in defensive efficiency in that 14-game stretch.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
