Hittin' The Nuts: Squirrelpatrol's NBA Lineup Advice for Tuesday, October 31st

Want to hit the nuts and take down 1st place in these massive contests posted by FanDuel and DraftKings? Who better to walk you through their favorite NBA DFS picks than Squirrelpatrol! Undoubtedly one of the best DFS players in the game today, Squirrelpatrol has accumulated 90+ Live Final seats, won the FanDuel 2021 World Fantasy Basketball Championship for $500,000, and most recently, took down the NFL Milly Maker in Week 2. Should we roster the chalk picks? How off-the-board should we get in large-field tournaments? Squirrel answers all of these questions and more below!
After last night’s massive 12-game NBA slate, we’re back to another nationally televised two-gamer as the James Harden-less 76ers travel to Milwaukee to take on the Damian Lillard-full Bucks, and then two teams who played on opening night meet in a nightcap game between the Suns and the Lakers. The earlier 76ers-Bucks game has the slightly higher total (227), with the Bucks favored by 6.5, while the Suns-Lakers game has the lower total (225.5) with the Lakers favored by 5.5. The big injury news is that both Devin Booker and Bradley Beal are doubtful to play tonight for the Suns which should open up some opportunities for the low-priced Phoenix bench players and make Kevin Durant the absolute focal point of the offense.

Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:
Kevin Durant
FanDuel: $9,800
DraftKings: $8,900

I mentioned it in the intro, but the main injury news tonight benefits Kevin Durant, and he’s the only star player likely to see an injury-related bump in production. We’re getting a big discount on Durant from opening night on FanDuel, and his price was way too low on DraftKings to begin with. As I pointed out on the Expert Survey – it’s a small sample size but a plausible stat – in 37 minutes with the Suns last season without Booker, Chris Paul, or Deandre Ayton on the court Durant totaled 63.5 DraftKings points.
