NBA DFS Playoff Primer: Friday, April 14
The NBA postseason is here! We no longer have to worry about teams resting players, teams trying to lose, and late scratches. For the next couple of months, we get meaningful basketball game after meaningful basketball game. We have decided to combine the Core Plays and the Grind Down into one all-encompassing article for the NBA playoffs. We will break down each slate, sift through the game flow trackers of prior meetings between teams, cover the notable matchups, and provide our favorite NBA DFS targets.
The NBA playoffs will officially start tomorrow, but we still have two final play-in games to see who will grab the eighth and final playoff spots in each division. We’ve gotten some terrific basketball games so far and hopefully that will continue tonight. Both games feature teams with similar styles of play and both games feature a spread of 5.5 points.
For DFS purposes, don’t be afraid to use the late swap feature to your advantage. It doesn’t matter if you build one lineup or 150 lineups. Assess how you are doing relative to the field as the first game is about to come to an end and then look for swaps that could potentially improve your ROI. If your players in the early game get off to a nice start, don’t hesitate to use chalk in the second game. If your players struggle in the first game, it’s imperative to swap off of the chalk in order to give that lineup a chance at cashing.
