A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. The cold plunge room project that I was hoping to get done during All-Star Weekend is still a work in progress. As I’ve noted before, I’m not the most handy individual. If the project doesn’t come with step-by-step instructions, I’m not much help. I’m usually the one paying someone else to do my home improvement tasks. However, my goal is to get better at it, and I am hoping to complete this project by myself. For this room, I have decided to go with waterproof laminate flooring instead of the reclaimed wood wall. I finished the painting of the room last week and tore out all of the carpet over the weekend. I purchased the laminate and have plenty of new tools at my disposal. Barring a disaster or laziness on my part, I should have the room ready by this weekend. DraftKings Sportsbook currently has odds that I won’t finish by Sunday at -145. I’ve already seen a few of our experts at Scores And Odds write this up as their favorite bet of the week.

You know what’s crazy? You can learn how to do just about anything on the internet. I’ve already watched several videos on removing carpet, installing laminate flooring, which tools are needed, etc. It got me thinking… how did we survive as a species without YouTube and the internet? The A-Z encyclopedias at the local library only held so much information growing up. The amount of knowledge that we have at our fingertips is pretty incredible.

I know you didn’t come here for my terrible home improvement advice, so let’s talk some basketball. There are 6 games on the NBA schedule this evening. The Nets are playing in the front half of a back-to-back, while the Clippers, Wolves, and Thunder are playing in the second half of a back-to-back. It looks like DraftKings is back to having late swap, so we’ll see what happens with that moving forward. Even though there are only 6 games tonight, FanDuel has decided to leave the last two off of their main slate. This means we have a 6-game main slate on DraftKings and a 4-game main slate on FanDuel.

Team Previews

Memphis Grizzlies (at BKN): We kick off the slate with the Grizzlies, who have lost 5 games in a row. They are now 21 games below .500 on the season. Tonight they travel to Brooklyn to take on the Nets, who are 23rd in pace and 19th in defensive rating. The Grizzlies are 9-point underdogs and have a team total of 99.5 points. In addition to all of the season-long injuries, the Grizzlies are expected to be without Jaren Jackson, Ziaire Williams, and Scotty Pippen tonight. You would think this would open up a lot of value, but we don’t have a single player on the roster with a positive RGValue in the projections. I don’t hate the idea of using Vince Williams, Santi Aldama, or Jordan Goodwin in large-field tournaments, but this isn’t a team that we should be too interested in when it comes to this slate.

Brooklyn Nets (vs. MEM): The Nets have lost 6 of their last 10 games and are currently on the outside of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. However, they enter tonight’s game as 9-point favorites against the Grizzlies, who are 18th in pace and 11th in defensive rating. The Nets have a total that is 3.7 points below their season average. Cam Thomas has been ruled out, while Ben Simmons is currently listed as questionable. Dennis Schroder has made the most of his opportunity to start the last 2 games, averaging 31 minutes and 39 fantasy points. He’ll become an intriguing option if Simmons is out again. I don’t have a strong take on the rest of the Nets tonight. Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton are viable in tournaments, but they are priced appropriately and aren’t exactly playing in a great game environment.

Update – Simmons has been ruled out.
